Intramurals at LCC

Next week, beginning on Monday, Sept. 9, Leyte Christian College will hold its 5th annual intramural games.  Our students really look forward to this week, it is one of the highlights of our school year in which all students get to participate in many different games, contests, events, etc., some of which are Bible-themed.  For example, there is a preaching contest for the boys, song leading contest, and for the girls, a contest involving teaching children.  There is also a Scripture memorization contest (boys & girls), quoting the books of the Bible in order (boys & girls), and a so-called "quiz bee" in which they have to answer some key questions taken from all of their Bible classes.  Of course there are other games & contests as well, like basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, checkers, a scavenger hunt, spelling bee, and a host of other events.  On the final night (Friday) we will have a dinner and give out awards for the winners.  It is always an exciting week.  The kids are really excited about this special time, and it is an event which helps bond them together, as well as serving as a recruitment enhancer.  And... these great kids deserve a break after working so hard for nearly three months of classes.  Thanks to all of our great supporters.
