Muslim extremism

On Nov. 23 in the southern Philippines province of Maguindanao, 57 people, including 30 journalists, were stopped along the highway and shot and killed by Muslim terrorists. Many of the victims were women and children, shot dead by cowardly infidel followers of the false prophet Mohammed. This province has long been politically unstable as two rival Muslim factions vie for control there. But this latest incident underscores the lawlessness of the region. As a result, for the last three weeks the government has sought to increase its presence not only in that region but in the whole nation. Soldiers are frequently seen everywhere with M-16's at the ready. The Maguindanao region was even placed on martial law, something not seen since the Marcos regime of the 1980's. Alarming times.
