Classes are now set to begin in two weeks! Leyte Christian College will open its doors for its first classes on June 16, with Small Beginnings Christian Preschool and Learning Center set to open the following day (see pix below of new preschool building). We have approximately 40 little ones already enrolled for the preschool. Our preaching school (LCC) should have around 30 students. Teaching in LCC will be Charlie Sabado, Jonathan Lapitan, Dominador "Jack" Belo (the director of the school), and yours truly. Teaching in Small Beginnings school will be Giselle Belo, Chedes Vallente Onez, and Jessica Bacante. We ask for your continued prayers that we will be successful in sharing the Gospel at Small Beginnings. Our plan is to reach out to the parents and/or the nannys who are waiting to pick up their children and share the Gospel with them, in addition to sharing Christ with the children during school.
Other news to report: the property we were trying to purchase was sold before we could get all the necessary paperwork done. This means we will have to wait until another property becomes available. It's too bad because the one we had targeted was very nice, perfect location and the price was great. We had not yet moved enough money into place in order to purchase it, so it took about three weeks to get all of it there along with the paperwork, and someone beat us to the punch. But we're ready now when another good property is located.
